PREMIERE - MOMENTUM

Dance Theater by Emil Wedervang Bruland

With works by Vagn Holmboe, Jean Sibelius, Marius Flothuis, Claude Debussy and Alberto Ginastera

A moment can change everything. An impulse, a movement, a decision – and something new begins. In dance, this power reveals itself in a special way: One step triggers the next, a gesture unfolds its effect, a rhythm carries on. Just as time and history never stand still, dance also constantly moves forward.

MOMENTUM is an exploration of the moment and its dynamics. Together with the Schleswig-Holstein Symphony Orchestra, the evening traces the momentum that drives dancers forward, sets stories in motion, and allows great developments to arise from small gestures. It shows how a single moment transcends itself, touches, connects, and leaves traces: powerful, poetic, and sometimes unexpected.
