Fifth edition of the successful series – 14 concerts in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria
With their 2026 released album "Eingenordet," VERSENGOLD has set the next milestone of their career and once again reached number 1 on the German album charts. In 2027, the folk rockers are returning to one of their most extraordinary concert formats: The "Night of Ballads" is entering its fifth edition. The tour will take the band to 14 concert evenings in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria in spring.
The quiet side of VERSENGOLD
Since its premiere in 2018, the "Night of Ballads" has developed into a fixed highlight in the calendar for both the band and the audience. The previous editions sold out long in advance – and for good reason: While the regular VERSENGOLD shows thrive on exhilarating folk-rock energy, this special concert format highlights the gentle, poetic, and contemplative sides of the band.
The focus is on the stories behind the songs, the verbal power of the lyrics, and melodies whose subtle nuances sometimes remain hidden in the thrill of the big shows. The band does not simply present quieter versions of well-known pieces but rather uniquely crafted arrangements that give the repertoire new colors and perspectives.
Large ensemble, special sound colors
The "Night of Ballads" is supported by the poetic finesse of singer and songwriter Malte Hoyer and the musical versatility of VERSENGOLD. For the tour, the band will again be joined by a string quartet, a guest singer, and percussion. The additional voices and instruments add depth, warmth, and dynamics to the songs – from very intimate moments to grand, emotional soundscapes.
