Jazz session with »Voits & friends« in the Bergmühle. Session leader Kai Stemmler has invited the Voit family, who has often enriched the evenings, to create the opener set this time.

Jorik Voit (guitar) and Martje Voit (saxophone) are both young talents, musicians of the State Youth Jazz Orchestra SH, award winners of Jugend jazzt, and active in various formations, including the Jazzcoast Big Band. Jorik studies jazz guitar at the Hannover University of Music, while his sister Martje Voit is still a student with a great passion for jazz. Their father, Gernot Voit, plays trombone and is musically versatile; he plays in a classical orchestra and the Jazzcoast Big Band.

Friends Gabriel Koeppen (saxophone) and Bjarne Stenger-Wulff (trumpet) are also coming from this big band. The rhythm section consists of Kai Stemmler on double bass and Mario Wissmann on drums. Together, they call themselves »Voits & friends« and they play big band sound in a smaller ensemble.

As always, after the first set, additional musicians can "board" the stage to jazz together with parts of this "Small Big Band".
