Workshop "Was kann Eis alles?"

Other guided tours
Family & kids

Our workshops on scientific topics are back! For all those who can't get enough - whether big or small, young or old, eager to learn or simply curious.

Together we will explore the frosty wonders of water: We will watch ice cubes on different materials in a melting race, outsmart nature with a simple thread that makes the ice freeze by itself, and find out why some things feel much colder than they actually are. Together we will discover what salt does to ice and why ice is much more than just frozen, cold water.

Children and adults can participate in the free* 30-45 minute hands-on workshop. Accompanied by a member of our care team, the various experiments will be carried out, where you will not only watch but also actively participate. Together, hypotheses about the outcome of an experiment will be made, research and observations will be conducted, and afterwards, the observations from the experiment will be discussed together. The focus is not on the "correct result," but on the path to get there. Being curious, trying out, failing, and experimenting and observing again are important parts of research.

*Participation in the workshop is free in connection with the exhibition admission.

Please note that there is a limited number of spots available. Registration is possible on-site on the workshop day.
