Songwriter with a bright, charismatic voice between jazz and pop

We have discovered a newcomer who truly belongs on the Flensburg stage. For the past two years, we have been captivated by the expressive videos and songs of Sara Bax, and we are very excited that she will be performing at this year's Flensburger Hofkultur. The Dutch singer and composer studied jazz & pop in Arnhem, including music theater, and has already taken the stage at the North Sea Jazz Festival. On her album She's The Poem, she combines elements of jazz, chanson, Latin, and singer-songwriter poetry – her voice resonates multilingual in English, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Together with pianist Jeroen van Vliet, flugelhorn player Angelo Verploegen, cellist Joshua Herwig, and drummer Maximilian Hering, she creates sometimes dreamy, sometimes poetic, and sometimes narrative soundscapes. An evening full of intimacy, poetry, and magical moments awaits us in the Brasseriehof.

On her debut album She's The Poem, the Dutch newcomer Sara Bax (trained in jazz and pop in Arnhem) unites jazz, chanson, Latin, and singer-songwriter poetry. She has already performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival. With her band, she enchants the audience in Brasserihof at Flensburger Hofkultur with poetic and dreamy sound worlds.
