The Landscape Museum Angeln is hosting an informative weekend with plenty of practical knowledge about old apple varieties from the Danish-German apple region.
Get to know Gravensteiner, Iwersen apple, Schafsnase, Gelber Richard, Hans-Andresen apple, Filipa, purple Cousinot, and many other historic varieties. Explore the historical apple heritage of the region. Inform yourself through literature and illustrations. Become a member of the Danish-German apple network!
A sociable accompanying program awaits you at the harmoniously situated Christesenhof. Offerings include fruit and vegetable sales, short tours on fruit pruning, apple allergy consultations with Willi Hennebrüder, sales of fruit trees and other plants, a juice stand, cooking demonstrations in the "Apple Kitchen" of Christesenhaus (only on 3.10.), sale of artisan products, a children's program, lectures on the historic fruit region by Mads Mikkel Tørsleff, Bov and Meinolf Hammerschmidt, Winderatt, coffee and cake from baker Hecker, Boelschuby as well as sausages and drinks from the snack bar. On Sunday, the Cafe of the Munkbraruper Landfrauen will be hosted at Christesenhaus. The museum islands – butter mill, smokehouse, and windmill are open.
