Sunbörn (formerly KutiMangoes) is a Danish sextet known for a groovy, sun-drenched, and genre-blending sound, where jazz, fusion, afrobeat, and electronic elements merge into a global musical experience that speaks to body, mind, and soul alike. The band has released four critically acclaimed albums, won four Danish Music Awards - most recently as Best Live Band - and has extensively toured through Europe, Asia, and West Africa. Their music is based on a vision of community: “We are all born under the same sun. Despite our differences, we share more than we think - and the music reminds us of that.”
In 2026, Sunbörn is opening a new chapter and expanding their live format by combining the six-member band setup with a DJ and electronic production into a hybrid concert and club experience. After collaborating with Clap! Clap!, they dive even deeper into a sound universe where live instrumentation meets pulsating beats, hypnotic grooves, and global club energy. Their current release “Earth Is Begging” (Wah Wah 45s, UK) marks a new direction with a blend of afrobeat, Middle Eastern melodies, jazz harmonies, and electronic music, receiving international airplay and great critical acclaim.
The live shows in 2026 are an immersive experience with improvisation, energy, and danceable grooves, where concert and club culture merge into a whole. This solidifies Sunbörn's position as one of the strongest live bands in Europe.
