Nussknacker - International Festival Ballet

The ballet "The Nutcracker" is based on Alexandre Dumas' version of the story "Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffmann. Tchaikovsky's musical adaptation premiered on December 18, 1892, in St. Petersburg under the choreography of Lev Ivanov, enchanting both children and adults.

The prince takes Marie to the land of sweets. The journey goes through the fir forest to Sugarburg Castle, where the residing Sugar Fairy hosts a feast in honor of her guests.
