Old Shatterhand unter Kojoten - Live Hörspiel
Old Shatterhand among Coyotes
With Hardy Krüger Jr. and Luna Schweiger
In the Llano Estacado, a gang spreads fear and terror: the Coyotes. When Old Shatterhand and his companion Sam Hawkens come across a stagecoach whose passengers have been murdered, the two frontiersmen take up the trail of the bandits. A chase begins across the western USA, where the hunters soon become the hunted. And the Coyotes are not only after fat profits...
With “Old Shatterhand among Coyotes,” a new, action-packed Western comes to the stage as a live radio play. Hardy Krüger Jr. plays the lead role of Old Shatterhand, Volker Zack is seen as Luke O’Hara, and Luna Schweiger embodies Emily Milton. Together with other actors, they take on a total of twelve roles. However, the star of the evening is the sound effects artist. Directly on stage, he creates entire worlds using everyday objects: crunching sand under boots, galloping horses, booming gunshots, or the creaking of a stagecoach. With practiced movements, imagination, and perfect timing, he transforms simple materials into vivid soundscapes, perfectly enhancing the audience's imagination. Together, they create an exciting adventure full of tension, pace, and atmosphere.
The audience experiences the radio play live as in a mobile sound studio: music, effects, costumes, and handmade sounds are created right before the eyes and ears of the viewers. In the tradition of the well-known Karl May venues in Elspe, Bad Segeberg, and Rathen, the world of Karl May is impressively brought to life – captivating, authentic, and surprisingly modern.
A true “road movie for the eyes and ears,” thrilling up to the grand showdown. For over 120 years, Karl May has been one of the classics of adventure literature – this production continues his tradition and merges cinema in the mind with the magic of theater.
A tip for all Western, Karl May, and radio play fans.
