Midsummer – these days when the light simply won’t stop. The program "Midsummer Poem" is dedicated to this state of suspended balance between fullness and fine melancholy. Stefanie Boltz combines songs like “Everybody Loves the Sunshine,” “Summertime Sadness,” “Sitting on the Dock of a Bay,” and “Watermelon Man” with summer poetry from Hesse and Rilke. Together with cellist Nenad Uskokovic, they create finely interwoven soundscapes with voice, cello, and electronics – sometimes groove-oriented, at other times fragile and quiet. – sometimes groove-oriented, at other times fragile and quiet.
