Workshop "Faszination Wasser"

Other guided tours
Family & kids

Our workshops on scientific topics are back! For all those who can't get enough - whether big or small, young or old, eager to learn or just plain curious.

Together we will delve into the element of water: We will make paper clips magically float on the surface, observe how a water droplet becomes perfectly round, and explore why water can sometimes flow uphill. In the process, participants will learn about special forces such as surface tension and capillarity, and understand why water is liquid, yet behaves differently under pressure.

Children and adults can participate in the free* 30-45 minute hands-on workshop. Accompanied by a member of our care team, the various experiments will be conducted, where you not only watch but also actively participate. Together, hypotheses about the outcome of an experiment will be made, exploration and observation will take place, and afterwards, the observations from the experiment will be discussed together. It is not the "correct result" that is central, but rather the journey to get there. Being curious, trying out, failing, and experimenting and observing again are an important part of the research.

*Participation in the workshop is free in conjunction with the exhibition admission.

Please note that there is a limited number of spots available. Registration is possible on the day of the workshop on site.
