From the coast to the shop
At Kalvø Fisk, you can buy seasonal fish caught around Kalvø and along the east coast of Sønderjylland. The fish are caught in traditional pound nets and taken to the shop and smokehouse, where they are cleaned, sorted and filleted.

The selection changes with the seasons. Depending on the time of year, you may find flounder, plaice, trout, eel, cod and herring in the shop.

Traditional recipes and an on-site smokehouse
The fish are salted using traditional methods and old recipes before being smoked in modern ovens. Smoke from different types of wood is used in the process.
