Glücksburg Castle is one of the most significant Renaissance water castles in Northern Europe and one of the most famous attractions in Glücksburg near Flensburg. Built between 1582 and 1587, Glücksburg Castle is regarded as an important testament to Northern German and Danish history. Opening hours 2026:

• April: daily 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
• May and June: daily 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
• July and August: daily 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
• September and October: daily 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
• November to March: Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

The last admission is one hour before closing. From December 21, 2026, to including January 3, 2027, the castle will be closed.
Accessibility: The access to the castle and the ground floor are wheelchair accessible. A barrier-free toilet is available. The upper floors are not accessible due to spiral staircases.
