Ice Age House Flensburg – Discover Rocks, Fossils, and the Stone Age

The Ice Age House Flensburg in the historic Christiansen Park invites you on an exciting journey through Earth's history. As a geological showcase of the Natural Science Museum Flensburg, it displays the special diversity of rocks and fossils from Schleswig-Holstein and the region. Visitors learn how the landscape of Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark was formed during the Ice Age, how life developed, and what traces prehistoric people left behind.

The exhibition vividly illustrates geological processes, the Ice Age, and the Stone Age, making it an interesting destination for families, children, nature enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to learn more about the formation of Northern Germany. Entrance to the Ice Age House Flensburg is free; special events may incur admission fees.

The Ice Age House is open on Wednesdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended hours until 5:00 p.m. apply from May to September. The house is partially wheelchair accessible.

The Ice Age House is located in Christiansen Park in Flensburg and can be reached on foot from the Museumsberg in about five minutes.
